Social networking helps sometimes in saving lives but there are few misuse of Social networks likes Facebook,Google Plus, Twitter and so on. Many Underage children’s are jumped in this social networks as behaving like blind sheep. everyday, a lots of children’s registering their Facebook accounts just for an enjoyment, but in most of the cases they make big mistakes while creating Facebook profile. They unveils their Full Personal details like Home Address, Pin code etc. on Facebook. Some pornography contents are also affects child’s soft mind. I know that, being beginner many child’s didn’t know about this things. So, Parent’s always want to block Facebook for their child’s safety.
Here, I show you few tips to block facebook easily without having any software on your computer.
Guide Requirements:
- Windows XP
- Web Browser
- Working Internet Connection
- Access to Windows XP System 32 Folder
Step 1 : Open C:\ Drive and navigate to WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc folder.
Step 2 : Still, if you can’t understand, type this address C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc in your my computer address bar and press enter, you will redirected there automatically.
Step 3 : Now in \etc folder open the hosts in any text editor or in notepad.
Your current hosts file will be looks like as below.
Step 4 : Now do the changes as following screenshot in your hosts file.
simply, enter new two lines after the existing line 127.0.0.1 localhost.
new two lines to block facebook is,
127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com
127.0.0.1 facebook.com
Explanation : you can block any website on your computer by following this method. just use that website name with “www” prefix and without “www” prefix.
If you want to block xyz.com site then format will be,
127.0.0.1 www.xyz.com
127.0.0.1 xyz.com
